Updates and Events

Dear Families,

We had a really great day last Friday.  We had Four Winds, chess, and the Fun Run.  The students learned all about worms and what lives in the soil during our Four Winds session.  We also had lesson number three for chess.  We had second and third grade helpers during this time.  Finally, we enjoyed getting outside and participating in the Fun Run in the afternoon.  The students ran, listened to music, and got a yummy popcorn snack.  Please enjoy the many pictures of these events below the updates portion of this blog post.

I would also like to thank everyone who came out for the pasta dinner last Tuesday.  It was so nice to see all of you.  I ran into many of you at the Book Fair.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating so many books to our classroom.  We enjoyed reading many of them last week and have several more to read this week.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

We have a couple of important events happening in May that I wanted to share with you.  We will be going to the Flynn Theater on Tuesday, May 7thfrom 8:40 to 11:40.  We will be seeing “Me…Jane, The Dreams and Adventures of the Young Jane Goodall.”  Unfortunately, we cannot invite parent chaperones on this trip.  I did want to tell you this date in case you are trying to schedule appointments.

Also, the kindergarten classes will be leading the Memorial Day Assembly on Thursday, May 23rd.  It starts at 8:00 and ends at 8:30. Please plan on joining us if you can.

Thanks for all you do!  It was wonderful to see everyone last week.
