Dear Families,
Tonight is our Open House/Curriculum Night. This is your opportunity to see what your
student has been doing at Summit Street School.
Your child will bring you to the classroom from 6:00-6:30 and show you
the many learning opportunities they have been participating in. Then, at 6:30 your child will go to the gym
to be supervised and engaged in activities, while you remain in the classroom
to learn about specific curriculum areas.
This is a fun, informative, and important event. We hope to see all of you here!

Four
Winds:
Last
Friday we learned about leaf eaters. Some
animals make holes, some scallop edges, some roll the leaves into tubes to eat
them. When we watch a leaf eater feeding
on a leaf we are seeing the flow of energy from the sun to the plant to the animal. These interactions are evidence of a food
chain or food web. Thank you to Karen Hergesheimer
and Adam Cole for a fabulous presentation.
Below are
some pictures of our Four Winds volunteers engaging with the students to learn
about “leaf eaters.”
