Hello Families,
We have been busy in
kindergarten. We are right in the middle of our “How to…” writing unit.
Students have picked topics they know a lot about such as brushing their teeth,
making bracelets, and cleaning up. We are learning how to write each step
of the process to teach the reader how to do something. In reading, we
are using even bigger reading muscles than before. We are reading more challenging
books with more words, more lines of print, new words, longer words, and
surprise endings! On Wednesday, we had a Spotlight Reader from third grade
as a very special sibling guest! On Friday, we learned all about skulls
during our Four Winds science session.
I have heard from a few students
that they have been working on their 100 day project. I can't wait to see
all of them on Monday, February 10th.
Lastly I hope you can make it
to Game Night on Friday, February 7th, at 6:00. Your child
will recognize some of the games from their math work places. I am sure
they would love to come and teach you how to play!
