Dear Families,
We have been doing some very important work in math and science. The students have been recording observations in their science journals about the characteristics of living and nonliving things. We also had a fabulous Four Winds presentation about decomposition specific to rotting logs and what is living inside them. Students were given the opportunity to explore and investigate rotting logs and collect important evidence.
In math, we have been learning about the importance of number lines. With a number line as support, students practice counting the forward and backward sequences. This also helps students understand interval counting and allows them to practice using positional words such as before and after.
